For those in the know, the Kispiox, Bulkley, and Skeena rivers are legendary fishing destinations. For those newer to fishing, there isn’t a more beautiful place to hone the craft or get started. Bear Claw offers guided salmon fishing in the summer season and steelhead in the fall.
While the Kispiox is known for its wild steelhead that return every fall, it is also home to all five species of salmon and rainbow trout, cutthroat trout and bull trout, all of which are great sport fish on the fly.  The Kispiox is a relatively small river that generally runs very clear through the summer and fall, making for a  very visual experience. Long days, gentle currents, and beautiful scenery make summer fishing an activity for the whole family. We provide one guide for every two clients, as well as a riverside lunch. From beginner to expert, the Kispiox has something for everyone.

Guided fishing is $475 per person per day and includes all meals and beverages while on the river.
Home to the world’s largest strain of wild steelhead, fishing the Kispiox is a bucket list item. Jim Allen, part of the family and owner and operator of the Kispiox Fishing Company, has brought together world-class guides on some of the best steelhead rivers in NW British Columbia. With such fantastic water, respected guides, and our desire to preserve these waters, steelhead fishing is offered seasonally on a limited basis.
